This Baby Could Go Down

This Baby Could Go Down

A missed connection on my way to DFW,
If you catch the next one, I’m still DTF.
Straighten my wings, your luggage shifts as I pull my throttle out,
Let’s do it again, welcome to the mile high.

This baby could go down.

All hands on deck. This captain needs someone to navigate,
With those landing lips - I think you’ll do fine.
Just grab the stick. This turbulence is making it hard for me,
Get a better grip, and it’s time to fly.

This baby could go down.

Back in the day, the flight crew wore a much tighter uniform
We would do tail whips, face-first nose-dives.
Every maneuver, I learned in school; I studied and trained for this.
Let’s pick a safe word, in-case we survive.

This baby could go down.

This is your captain speaking. When it comes to getting around, I
know you have a lot of choices - I want to thank you for flying
these more-than-just-friendly skies with me. A quick reminder: in
the event of an emergency, please remove your own underwear
before assisting other passengers. Make sure your seat is
reclined to its most horizontal position and prepare yourself - I
am ready to land this thing.
